43% say make old stuff relevant? Really? You've had -blam!- knows how long to play that stuff. Why in the hell would you want that rather than new content?

  • It's for the options. At this point our expectations are so low for what they can provide, and we're so disappointed in what they've given us and taken away, we just want to play the stuff we used to. I want to be able to play vault of glass with something to gain other than motes of light. I want to play archon priest or devil's lair as a nightfall. I'm glad omnigul and Taniks were added to the rotation, but we still "lost" 5 strikes. Yes they're in the "legacy" playlist, but that has nothing to offer unless you're farming for exotic engrams, which you can also do in the current strike playlist with the potential for better loot from strike exclusive armor or weapons.

  • Because it's way superior to the crap that there is now

  • Better than what we have now perhaps but would it be better than new content?

  • It would be an easier fix to make old content relevant by simply making them at current light levels with drops being relevant aswell. Then they could focus on other new contrnt

  • But the question wasn't "what's the easiest thing they could do"

  • Well again, if they made it relevant players would have more to do. Allowing Bungie to focus on new content.

  • It shouldn't be relevant though that's the thing. It was end game content. It's no longer the end game.

  • Because it would give us loads to do. What's the point in having in the game if vog, crota's end and poe are all useless. It's an easier change which would give them time to work on destiny 2

  • You can still play all of them though so they're not useless. There's no reason they should be brought up to end game level when they're no longer the end game

  • Easier. I'd rather bungie invest their time in the inevitable Destiny sequel, to therefore make it bigger and better, than for the team to split up and have some rushed new content, only to be followed up by a rushed new game. That's my reasoning, anyway.

  • Yeah but the reality is, even if they did bring new stuff forward, 2 days later all you would get is "-blam!-ing bungie, so lazy can't even make new content, just recycling old stuff blah blah blah" It really wouldn't be worth the time. 5 years down the line if they decided to bring back VoG as some special event then sure why not but now? That's a terrible move

  • So you don't mind if they do end up releasing a new yet sparse two-hours worth of content DLC, that ends up taking time away from the development of Destiny 2? I mean hell yeah, new content would be fantastic, but looking at Bungie's track record (Vanilla, TDB), I think taking their time and investing the majority of their energy into Destiny 2 is the way to go. Oh, and people will complain until people cease to exist.

  • Obviously I would prefer as much time dedicated to D2 as they can manage but they have said there'll be updates and events throughout year 2 in place of paid DLC. I'd much rather they made something more of those than just regurgitating old things that I can still play now anyway

  • Okay, but if it's available it would only be an option. You won't be forced to run through the Vault, and if they limited the light level of items dropped in old activities, players would still need to play through current end-game activities, thus LFG wouldn't simply shift over completely to old activities. I have a pretty good feeling the issues with the Crucible will be resolved over time (though it is always changing), but new content, especially something big, would likely be expensive financially. It could also take artists, animators, designers, writers, programmers, and managers out of the "sequel loop". In fact, the live team is the only group still fully involved with Destiny and her future. The rest of the employees are working on Destiny 2. We have to keep that in mind. I mean, what is this "live team" capable of? If Bungie could come out and be clearer and more honest about Destiny 1's future, we could better criticize the game's current state. I wish I could sit down with whoever has authority to manipulate the game's infrastructure and go through the forum, asking if ideas are plausible. Maybe then I'd better understand Bungie's apparent vow of silence.

  • Look, right now, they're probably not adding new, meaningful anytime soon. Old content is better than no content.

  • We don't know that for certain. We've got this February update coming which granted looks shit but we still don't have all the details on that to properly judge. Then we have whatever this supposedly large update afterwards is. At this point we really don't know anything about the size or quality of things we'll be getting.

  • I agree with you where the February update is concerned. As for the "bigger" update? I'm unconvinced that no information is good. And while that doesn't make it bad by default, we can't get excited. Considering the growing unrest amidst the Destiny playerbase, withholding information that details upcoming content IS a bad thing. Hype is good. Playing coy is not. Especially following the news of Destiny 2's release getting pushed.

You're ignorant. Everything they have released is PVP content not PVE the only thing that the PVE players have to do is Nightfall, daily, strikes and kings fall.. Again I'll say YOU'RE AN IDIOT.

Angry little fella ain't ya? Not sure where you get the ignorant part from since I'm well aware of what is and isn't available in the game. PVE has more content by far, people just choose not to play it for the most part. All of the old raids, strikes and story missions are there for you. If you choosenot to make use of them then that's your issue. All pvp really has is IB, Trials and regular crucible whoop di -blam!-ing do. Although that being said, you're completely missing the point. This was never a comparison between pve & pvp, all I stated is that new content is better than recycled old stuff. If that makes me an idiot then cool, whatever little buddy 😆

  • Right now its the perfect move. We need stuff to do, and most of bungie is hard at work for the next release which won't be coming out until this fall AT THE EARLIEST. bringing back the old raids would give us still playing some variety. Maybe I want to go collect the VoG armor and level that up to 320 instead of the KF armor. It's just something to do. That's exactly what we need right now.
