Bump again. Saw you on myelin games post on YouTube... Curious what you think about Cayde being who the exo stranger is working with? If she is Maya then we know Cayde knew her and had a thing for her. And is she the hunter that Cayde sends to Venus and Mars to get intelligence? Or do you have any other ideas who she is? Thanks for making these posts as opposed to all the crying that goes on on these forums.

I think the case for Maya Sundaresh being the Exo Stranger is strong, and Cayde does very much like Maya, I wouldn't assume it's him. The Exo Stranger told someone to kill the engines of a ship to avoid danger (doesn't sound like any situation Cayde is involved in), and she then disappeared, presumably through time. It could be a future version of Cayde though. I heard another theory that the Exo stranger might be Elsie Bray. She is from the Bray science corporation of Mars. Her sister was a guardian who died, and she herself disapeared. Interestingly, she created the ship Eon Tresspass, and the name sort of imply time travel—an eon is a massive amount of time, so to trespass through eons is to travel through time.

Another theory on the Stranger is that the Stranger is an exo body assembled by Kabr while he was trapped in the Vault of Glass. It's said that he may have used vex technology to animate the Stranger's body to use it as a proxy for his own mind. So Kabr enters our space and time to warn us about the Vex and bring us to the Vault of Glass. And he does this on multiple timelines, bringing guardians in to battle Atheon, each at different times. But the relic Kabr placed within the Vault of Glass enables each set of guardians to traverse time (or perhaps inhabit [i]all[/i] of time at once), combining their powers with all the guardians who have ever, or [i]will[/i] ever attack Atheon. That explains the raid mechanics and the damage buff you receive while in the aura. Anyway, I'm on my phone right now so I can't easily quote all the grimoire cards that support this theory. Most of them are the Vault of Glass cards. But it does make sense given that Rasputin questions the Stranger's ability to travel across time. So while the Stranger might be Maya, I prefer to think it's actually Kabr.

Cool theory. Hadn't heard of Elsie bray or forgot if I had. I've also heard that stranger is in alliance with Osiris but not sure of the evidence for it. Anyways thanks for the reply and keep up the good work.
