Destiny 2: I Revoke the Traveler - Destroy It!
Forewarning: Slight role playing ahead.
The Traveler only heralds war and death. As many have theorized, it's nothing but a trojan horse. It travels to different worlds, infuses itself to that world's history and leaves it, and not long after that world falls to a cataclysm of some sort.
The Traveler came to Fundament, and with hundreds of intelligent life, only granted one race his "light" while the rest were left to fight for themselves. It didn't even bother to help the proto-Hive (and the hundreds of other races) during the Syzygy, only concerned about keeping the Worms kept away.
The Traveler also appeared to the Eliksni, only to leave them at the mercy of The Whirlwind, which in hindisght is the main reason why the Fallen are here in our solar system to begin with. For all we know, the Traveler also influenced the Cabal in their violent ways.
Now, the Traveler is here in our solar system, raising it's own army of Guardians to help it fulfill whatever obscure mission it has, bringing along the destruction that the Traveler itself created.
I don't want to fight for The Traveler. I don't trust it. I sympathize with the fallen and lost Osmium Court and the Eliksni.

So here's my proposition:
In Destiny 2, along with a corresponding class(es), subclasses and races, I want to fight against the Traveler before it recovers, leaves Earth and possibly leave it in an even worse shape than it did after The Collapse (hey it stayed this time!, oh wait, it couldn't leave.. ha), and also prevent it from doing the same to other worlds. The Guardians the Traveler makes is a selfish misnomer. The only thing the Guardians are guarding is the Traveler.
Even if I have to start the game anew, I don't want to be the Traveler's Guardian anymore - even if it means I have to make a pact with The Darkness.

4 RepliesLol I say we offer the traveler up as a sacrifice to the Darkness. It doesn't pay rent, it doesn't have a stable job. Hell it made guardians so it wouldn't have to fight. I say we give the darkness what it wants.

Interesting thought. My interpretation based on grimoire is that the Traveler leaves [i]when[/i] the Darkness arrives. A certain AI Warmind calculated that this would happen, and crippled it, forcing it to stay on Earth and expend the last of its power trying to defend itself, and by extension us. If that's true, I have to wonder what action it might take if/when it awakens - revenge, perhaps, on the race that, through their technology, crippled it?

That why the cabal just don't nuke him it would kill the last human also. We guardians are zombies that feed on the light that why we have light armor we consume light.
