Does that mean since the holocaust didnt affect you directly that it didnt happen?

I can see what you mean. Often games that have some pretty bad glitches get that pass. Someone can post about a game breaking glitch on a forum, get several replies from players who experienced the same thing but there's always the guy who posts "it never happened to me so I don't believe you." Never mind about the half dozen videos on YouTube showing the glitch in action...

You still don't understand what the analogy means. "It did NOT happend TO ME so it never happened" "The Holocaust did NOT happend TO ME so it never happened" There is no other way to simplify this.
