As most of us know, Halo Wars introduced several new vehicles to the Halo Universe, each presenting their own advantages. They are as follows:
UNSC Superunits
Grizzly- A notoriously powerful variant of the Scorpion tank.
Hawk- A modified Hornet with...well., Lasers.
UNSC Unique Units
Wolverine- Anti air vehicle
Cobra-Anti Vehicle unit. Can also be locked down for extra power.
Vulture- Basically a flying tank. One of the UNSC's most powerful units.
Covenant Unique Units
Locust- Anti-base vehicle, but could probably be rendered to anti infantry, vehicle, or air.
Vampire- Anti air flying unit, but could probably be rendered to be something like a super-banshee
Super Scarab- Need I even explain this one? It would have to be something like a boss battle, I suppose.
Hope some of these make it to Reach!
Discuss.

I've always wanted to use the hawk it's like a flying Gauss it's basically unstoppable
Posted by: Sergeant Murph
Posted by: Goob0t super scarab is the one in halo 2
Nope, that was just the first version of the Scarab. The only known 'Super Scarab' is the gargantuan thing in the Halo Wars Campaign mission 'Scarab'
Maybe we could see something like that in Reach as a boss battle, that would be epic

So it is a mobile artillery unit like a howitzer, comparable to the Wraith. Thanks for clearing that up
Posted by: EchoGamer
Posted by: EldritchWarlord Other than the Grizzly which is the late John Forge's non-standard Scorpion upgrade (ie unique to the Spirit of Fire) and is basically just a heavier and more powerful Scorpion anyway (so it would add little variety and would just be unbalanced) I would like to see some Halo Wars units in Reach. It would add legitimacy to that game for the idiots shouting "Halo Wars is not canon!" despite having been shown many times how their arguments are null and void. You forgot the Rhino, true in Halo Wars the only Rhinos were the experimental ones outfitted with captured Wraith Plasma Mortars but most Rhinos are still howitzer tanks that launch metal shells. Other nitpicks: It's actually called a Sparrowhawk, Hawk is just a verbal abbreviation. And it only has one laser, which is basically a Spartan Laser but shoots a white beam for some reason, probably different heat or energy output. Sparrowhawks also have machine guns. Technically the Cobra's lockdown just allows it to fire it's 110mm heavy gauss gun, without locking down the recoil would flip the vehicle. A Locust's main gun is like a scaled down Scarab Gun. The UNSC would classify a Vampire as an Air Superiority VTOL. Basically this means an aircraft designed to destroy other aircraft and generally not effective against ground targets.
Halo Wars isn't cannon. Go ahead. Regret didn't actually say that Humans are the descendents of Forerunners (Even if he did, Ripa still died). Ripa is overly ignorant, causing him to underestimate Forge. It wouldn't make sense that we never encountered the officers of the Covenant (Elites) for almost 27 years into the war (retconned that little fact from the Book). And, to top it all off, Bungie even said it was. [Edited on 10.16.2009 8:25 PM PDT]

Anyone who has read Halo lore knows the significance of Reach. I have VERY high hopes for this game. And for the movie Spielberg is supposedly making.

I'm in the process of drawing out diagrams and concepts for how these vehicles could possibly work in game, I'll post it when I'm finished.
Posted by: Viper Skills
Posted by: Plasma3150
Posted by: Viper Skills Fox Cannon fires five shells per minute? Hmm... better hope they come in groups because one would be a mere annoyance rather than a threat. =P
They use GPS targeting. It would also take out a group of Warthogs or two or three Scorpian Tanks if they are close together. It is also on wheels, so it would be easier to splatter vehicles (Albiet, slowly).
Seems more like a support vehicle that appears in campaign. I would like to be pinned down by a few Wraiths and then see shells rain from the sky. Which reminds me... how awesome would it be to see a MAC blast or Carpet Bomb in a Halo game? The explosions would be amazing.
It is more of a support vehicle, similar to the Elephant (Mobile Base) Carpet Bombing would be pretty cool to see. Just like the Halo 2 Demo.

I would like to fight the Ultra-Scarab. I think it would be challenging and fun!
Posted by: Viper Skills
Posted by: Plasma3150
Posted by: Viper Skills I would like to see a Cobra and a Grizzly, but a Grizzly would do WAY more damage than a Cobra. For me, though, I would like to drive a Grizzly more.
Who wouldn't =P Anyways, I meant the LT and RT part when I brought up the Cobra.
If the gore is increased... I think using a Cobra would be amazingly entertaining. A Grizzly would rip the body apart leaving nothing there. A Cobra, on the other hand, would rip a hole in the body. Lots of Covenant blood! If you could lock down the Cobra and use the main cannon, then the body would blow up, but the dual rail guns... satisfying to use.
Agreed. But I really don't care about the transforming part of the Cobra. When it's in Lockdown, I want it to be similar to the Rhino. For Human artillary, we can just have the Fox Cannon.

The Grizzly and Hawk are unnecessary, everything else should be included.
-
I would also want these vehicles to be forgable on maps and campaign, just not MM. Same with AA Wraiths, Shades, Spectre, Sniper Tower, Mounted Missile Pod, and Shadows.
