Bungie, answer these questions. Enough is enough.
inb4 all the hate comments directed at either me or Bungie
Dear Bungie/Comzo/Ninjas/Whoever still works there and reads this crap, I have a few questions to ask. Think of this as a more, ahem, "nice" way compared to some of the other threads you've seen, but hopefully assertive enough for you to listen. Answer these questions, without the bullshit. That means not just saying "we'll look into it" or "passed to the devs" or whatever. Answer them yourself, with legitimate responses (your own thoughts if you wish, and I would encourage that). If you don't know the answer, say you don't know instead of saying that you'll have to look into it 5 months from now at the best. Be truthful, because by this point we can see through a good majority of the half-assed response and/or lies you've given to us. 1.) Are you actually going to read this? It's a simple yes or no. If you pick no, well...I'd really prefer it if you continued reading this. 2.) Without giving too much away, when and how important will the next major update be? Will it be about classes, weapons, armor, a mixture, etc?
I guess you picked Yes for the latter question, yessss?
3.) Why do you still create weapon metas despite all the backlash? Clearly a majority the community hates them (hate being an appropriate term now), and you idea of "freshening up the different weapons" has not worked nearly as well as you planned. Is it to just extend the life of Destiny 1 or is it just to amuse yourselves? 4.) Why have you still insisted on not separating PvE and PvP stats? Is there a problem in the coding that prevents you from doing so? Is it out of sheer laziness? Is it some other factor? This is a major issue here, and it won't go away until you answer it. 5.) Why do you blanket nerf weapons and subclasses based off a single weapon/subclass node? Do not pull the "It makes the game fresh" card. That's what got you here in the first place. This includes but isn't limited to: Fusion Rifles, Auto Rifles, Shotguns, Sunbreaker, Bladedancer, Handcannons, etc. 6.) How do you plan on fixing PvE? PvE is suffering from crap loot drops from the Nightfalls, Raids, and bad RNG in general. On top of that, blanket nerfs that should mostly be affecting PvP only are affecting us as well but on a harsher scale. 7.) Do you plan on "fixing" PvP soon (i.e. make it fun or at least worth trying out)? The PvP players loathe the constant TLW/MIDA, 1KYS, [Insert heavy weapon here] loadouts and many wouldn't want a new meta. They would mostly prefer to be using any type of weapon so the paranoia and curiosity of "knowing what your competitions packing" stays random but fun. 8.) Why do you "balance" weapons more on how often they're used? I recall you guys mentioning it (I believe Cozmo brushed up on it as well, but I don't have the link unfortunately) in threads and/or videos. Clearly skill doesn't play a role otherwise half of the weapon balances would actually have no real reason to exist. 9.) [Followup of 8] Why do you base the average K/D at 1.0? Is that an actual average, or is it just a number used in order to "balance" weapons and subclasses with? If it is an average, why hasn't it changed since newer/older players are able to reach higher/lower skill floors with all these new metas? 10.) You going to fix connection problems and other glitches? Certain glitches such as melee hits (including swords) not registering on enemies in both PvE and PvP, players killing themselves from just activating their Super, Lag "God" Mode, etc. PvP in particular obviously dedicated servers needing to be made along with fixing this. I see some fixes are in progress, but no word on the rest. 11.) Why do you do patches monthly? Wouldn't it be easier to patch a few things beforehand so they don't escalate into bigger problems? Why not make them weekly? Why no good weekly updates (if at all)? If I missed any other FAQs, please post them below and I'll try editing them in as the replies come in. TL;DR Edit: Removed final paragraph; unneeded now. Re-worked Introduction to be more assertive.
