E3: Xbox 360 "backwards compatibility" explained.

Well, I hope at least most of my games I have now will work on the 360, I will hate it if Halo CE won't playable on the 360. Apparently their goal is to get [i]all[/i] current Xbox titles playable on the 360, I hope they do.

To play the current Xbox games on the 360 Microsoft will probably be using some form of emulation for the games. Kinda like, you can't use PC applications on a Mac, unless you use an emulation tool. Hope that cleared it up for you a little..

It's just that a lot of the things I say can come out sounding like flaming. Your idea just wouldn't make since. If 360 games can be played on the Xbox, what's the point of buying a 360? Besides that, the xbox wouldn't be able to handle the graphics of the games. Though I have seen that some 360 games are also coming out for the Xbox, but I don't think they will do that for long.

They said they would "recompile" current games. I wonder how you "modify" your games to be playable on the Xbox 360...do you guys know?
