Yes i have read the books, i am not a moron i know what I'm talking about. I just find that the odst has a tactical advantage, and that alone can win a battle. Have you played halo wars, when playing as the ship commander in skirmish you can drop odst pods anywhere, the Spartans don't. Also they move fairly slow.Don't forget that everyone has there limits.

Spartans would win. Hands down. Read The Fall of Reach, and you'll learn all about their training and ability. While ODST's have to stay in cover and pick off their targets slowly, Spartans can easily rip through a battlefield and kill all of their enemies while staying in one piece.

Spartans aren't just better because of their armour. They have augmentations which make their bones almost indestructible, they are taller than ODSTs, faster than ODSTs and stronger than ODSTs. Their armour makes enhances the Spartans abilities so they are tougher and have AI assistance etc. Spartans would win hands down, they look cooler, are better and can kill anything and everything. They already have actual combat experience under their belts before they even begin their ODST training. Honestly they have about the same amount of training. Romeo took a the axe side of a gravity hammer to the chest and still lived through, while we do not know what happened to Jun, Romeo has shown us that a ODST can survive as much "damage" as a spartan Kat vs. Dutch: Kat, her robotic arm is an agumantationthat did not hamper her combat efficteviness. so if Dutch lost an arm he sould be put out of duty. So Kat wins due to service time. Jorge vs. Buck: Both troopers focus on assault but jorge takes the win in this one. his increased firepower combined with his over all strength puts him on top. Emile vs. Mickey: While Mickey has proved himself over and over again during the campaign, Emile has shown he provides a better sense of security with his presence on the battle field. When Emile shows up you guaranteed to have some enemies drop with out you having to pull the trigger. Noble Six vs. The Rookie: This is a hard decision but The Rookie will win this. Noble Six may be a spartan but he has never been able to prove him self a good warrior due to the presence of a team member. Spartans cost way too much money to create, thats why theyre arent to many of them, but they are way stronger than ODSTs. ODSTs are weaker than spartans but are great in numbers. I like both of them. So cut the bull**** about ODSTs pwning spartans.
