I chose the third option, based on context, simply because I feel like someone out there is doing some cheap crap related to hard scoping.
Ultimately, no I don't think it's cheap and I don't even snipe yet. Hardscoping is a basic sniping tactic in video games. If you're actually moving around and hardscope a lane you know someone will be peaking, why not be prepared?
If you can quickscope and drag scope then fantastic, but hard scoping is just as important and probably more reliable.

Drag-scoping requires you to be hard-scoping. Just an fyi.

Not really, I mean it doesn't matter since I stated I don't think it's cheap, but drag scoping isn't necessarily hard scoping. Drag scoping is a lot like quick scoping, minus the quick. It's the process of zooming in and making a snapping movement towards the head. You are zoomed in for two seconds or so but it's a way of sniping you can use while on the move similar to quick scopers. Quick scoping is faster than hard scoping and more times then not you don't need to make corrections to your aim as you obtain your mark before you even scope in. Hard scoping is usually used to describe someone constantly looking through the scope no matter what and is more campy/stationary.

The funny thing is, I agree on how people use the words. The fact remains, you have to hard-scope to drag-scope.

I still don't see it that way but it's not like it matters.
