I just got back from a game, can you believe i had to pay £50 for a jersey from the club store, even though i already paid £35 for a ticket to the game? I got charged for every last thing in the stadium. A match programme, a hot dog, a drink. And whats more, my friend tells me that our team spends millions on player contracts and a huge chunk of this revenue goes in their pockets so we can sign better players to help the team win and carry on entertaining us. So even though my team entertain me every weekend, and im perfectly happy to support further entertainment by buying said merchandise, it turns out im actually an complete idiot for supporting them for buying 'extras' in the stadium when ive already paid for admission. This makes no sense. Im now going to stop spending money supporting everything i love and enjoy with my own hard earned cash.
