Thank You for reworking the Fabian Strategy!

Just read the notes on the upcoming weapon patches, and I am very excited for the coming changes to the Fabian Strategy. Myself and every Titan I know was in agreement that the weapon was nothing but a massive disappointment in its current state. That the Front Lines perk needed to be buffed or redesigned. And my voice was just one of many pleading for the weapon to be reworked so that we could actually use it. I am very excited to pick back up the Fabian and try it out. I will say that the Rifled Barrel sounds pretty pointless, but the rest of it is just perfect: a welcome boost to stability, a noticeably improved Front Lines perk, flared magwell, and a cosmetic change to boot. I can't wait to hear the modified report of the weapon while the new and improved Front Lines is active. Seriously Bungie, thank you for fixing the Fabian. I know that technically it wasn't really broken, but the perk was so insignificant that it might as well have been. It is encouraging to see our feedback being heard and responded to. There are still a lot of issues, and a lot of room for improvement, but this is one issue that I am very glad to see addressed! Thanks again!

 • Well, Front Lines actually does work now... it is very noticeable... ...but damage per bullet goes down. But is it any good? It's basically the opposite of Focus Fire. Focus Fire trades RoF for damage per bullet. Overall DPS is roughly the same, but you save ammo doing Focus Fire. Arguably it also makes the weapon easier to control, but saving ammo is the real reason Focus Fire is useful, especially on guns with small magazines. Front Lines trades damage per bullet for RoF. The stability goes up enough to keep the gun controllable. I haven't done extensive testing, but my gut feeling is that the DPS is roughly the same -- except now you chew through ammo much faster. Guns in the high RoF archetype have larger mags to compensate -- Fabian Strategy does not. Saving ammo is a benefit, wasting ammo is NOT. Yes, it is different now but where's the benefit? If the Cryptarch dropped me a high RoF auto rifle with a small magazine, I'd junk it immediately... so why would I want my exotic to be like that? It needs either actually higher DPS with Front Lines active OR there needs to be some magic with ammo expenditure, e.g. fire two shots per one ammo. Or link it with Mulligan or Triple Tap or something like that.
