I wouldn't mind a quest progression to turn it into an exotic, kinda similar to Nechrocasm but longer. Say you get it in the first level right? Then when you get to level 10 you can turn it into an uncommon weapon that levels with you. Then at level 20 you can turn it into a legendary weapon that is infusible. Finally, upon reaching level 40, you get one last quest to turn your faithful weapon into an exotic with an epic perk of some kind.
