Good analysis. Just yesterday, I bought the book, Getting Gamers: The Psychology of Video Games and Their Impact on the People who Play Them. Should be a great read.

 • It is interesting how a game does effect people and the choices they make in any game. Meaning time spent. Bungie has set a lot of time gates in this game and i can see it only getting worse. Their actions have outspoken their words and not in a good way. Advertisement is a key factor in a new game when it comes out, making it more then it actually is. Yes its expected, but have you noticed how many licensing agreements we have had to agree to this whole year? I don't remember any game ive ever played online having to agree to ass many as i have on Destiny snd in two came out in one week in the middle of the year? Do you know what license agreements mean to me from Bungie. Even though it's a license agreement to change things at their will. To me its become a license agreement to lie anytime they want... so this means they can tell you that we added this and we added that and were going to do this for you and give you this and give you that. All the while knowing that the not going to do it and use the license agreement to do what they do. So here comes a fanboy all excited because of all the hype like game informer did when this game first came out. How Game Informer explain the game. It was nothing like the vision they were trying to give you. Bungie's name is the only thing that has saved this game from a total disaster. So now that Bungie has their foot in. This is where everything else takes place. What will keep gamers around but at the same time how can we cut content and put less effort into this game. So they spent more time on ringing this game then actually making it a game to enjoy.

 • What will be really interesting to see are the ramifications of Bungie's/Activision's actions. Activision will be fine. They made their money. They'll fund some great developers down the road. People will buy their products. Bungie is going to suffer, badly. Activision will blame them for all the shit wrong with Destiny, including the complete lack of faith gamers now have in them. I wouldn't be surprised if after Destiny, Bungie either dissolves, with devs going their separate ways, or remakes itself completely.

 • True, its more on saying it's Bungie's own fault and it is. They have to take responsibility for their own actions. And to think this is a ten year plan.
