Why do people care about light when doing Raids/Trials etc..
All I see is "301+ light to join". Why? If you have a high enough level (35+) with some exotics and good weaponry; why should your light count as you being a good player?
I get that "the more light you have, the better the armor" but why should your light level prevent you from teaming up with people?
P.S: Just curious as to why this is a factor when playing. I just returned after almost a year of inactivity. So post seriously please? No flame.
READ BEFORE COMMENTING: Since some people have something stupid to say about me being new or being a "noob" or shelfing this game;no. I deployed and have been gone for almost a year. Now that I am stateside, I want to catch up.

The huger light you have the more damage you do and the less you take. It doesn't matter if you have good weapons. Let's say your 300 light. Compare that to a 310 or higher. Their dps is gonna be much higher than the 300's. That's why people prefer to have the hugest light they can get
