Titans and vandals clashed in hand to hand brawls! In some cases, titans snapped the vandals' heads, in other cases the vandals would stab the titans with their shock blades! Some titans would launch rockets, and captains would direct the spider walkers! The battle was evenly matched! Skiffs would try to ambush the titans, but other guardians would take them out in dog fights all across the sky! A skiff appeared in the sky, some of the Kell of Kings' troops. The Fallen leader looked to the sky and cheered! Commander Saladin looked to the sky and gave the word! Five guardians fired rockets. The skiff, exploded, then the massive ship plummeted! No one was getting the upper hand! The Kell looked to Commander Saladin and howled in anger! Three star fighters in formation flew overhead, catching a walker's attention. It charged its anti aircraft turret then fired a salvo of rockets. Two of the jets dodged the rockets, but they struck the rear jet's engine. The jet tried to pull up, but instead, nose dived into a squad of titans. Commander Saladin watched the ship crash, then he looked to the laughing Kell. "Carpet bomb those tanks, Blue Leader!" shouted Commander Saladin into his headset! "Roger. Blue Leader over and out!" the jets made another pass, bombing and destroying multiple tanks. "Bombing run is good. One tank still standing!" said Commander Saladin. "Copy that. I got it!" Blue Leader flew around, aiming at the tank. The tank had other ideas. It fired at the jet, hitting it. The flying bonfire crashed into the tank, destroying it too. Meanwhile, on the south side of the facility, Echo Team fought off the flanking Fallen. "Move up! Move up!" "Captain on my six!" "I've been shot!" "S***! You're bleeding!" "Push them back!" "On your right!" "Watch it! Invisie!" Titans constantly barked out orders to each other. "Right out of college to this?!" James covered his head as an explosion shook him. "Quit complaining and let's go!" yelled Blake as they ran. A tank climbed the hill and targeted a titan! Blake saw the laser shine on the titan's large shoulder plate! "Zavala!!!" Blake tackled the Awoken, just as the rocket passed by! "Thanks, Blake." Zavala patted Blake on the back, then continued to fight. Everyone hid behind the walls, trying to make a plan. The tank fired its main cannon and killed three titans! "Plans?! Anyone?!" yelled Zavala. "We can burn the tank." said Blake trying to summon the void. "Burn? A tank?" asked Zavala confused. "Oh right! Burn is a inside joke, I guess. Just follow our lead." Blake nodded to James. "I'm ready, Blake!" yelled James. Blake and James ran around the wall, and taking heavy fire from the tank. The tank charged its main cannon again! "I'm not in range!" shouted James. "Yes we are." said Blake. He threw down a ward of dawn around them. They gave each other a high five. "Great timing! Now, let's burn that bas****!" said James. "Weapons of Light is active." said Blake. The two guardians ran out of the shield and unloaded their machine guns! "I'm out!" yelled Blake as he watched the tank fall to the ground. "I'm not!" James ran to the tank and used his fist of havoc! The tank slouched over and fell off the cliff. "Good job! D*** good job!" yelled Zavala. "Thank you. We've learned how to destroy anything, quickly." said Blake patting James on the back. Once the tank fell, the Fallen seemed to retreat from that section of Twilight Gap. The anti aircraft turrets of the base were firing at a ketch in the upper atmosphere. Four skiffs launched from the hanger. One was hit by the defensive turrets. They began falling towards the base! "Pull back! Pull back!" yelled a titan. Everyone ran for the doorway! Everyone made it, but Blake and James. James was about to be crushed by the crashing skiff, but Blake pulled him back! The skiff blocked the exit. "That was close! Thanks." James got up and stepped on a electrical wire. He collapsed instantly. "Oh s***!" Blake looked at James' spazzing body. "What do I do?!" "Um, try CPR!" yelled Doc. "Okay." Blake repeatedly punched James. "YOU.. ARE.. NOT.. DYING.. UNTIL.. I.. SAY.. SO!!" "Then, give the word... you killed him." said Doc. "Susan, could you bring James back?" "Of course I will." Susan spoke with a sweet and soft voice. The ghost's shell was white with a red X shape over her eye. She revived James.
