Out of any game with snipers. Destiny is by far the easiest game to snipe with.
All other FPS take much more skill to snipe than destiny
So does sniping is destiny take skill? Yes
Are snipers in destiny OP? Yes
Why are sniper rifles OP in destiny? Low zoom scopes that allow for huge field of vision, high aim assist, no sway, only gun type to not receive a nerf ever.
Fact of the matter is just because a gun or gun type takes skill doesn't make it any less OP. Snipers are in a category of there own right now and something has to be done. At this point sniper fest 2015 is in full swing and it's only going to get worse.

Exactly, and because of this snipers have additional flexibility as to their choice of primary. I feel there should always be trade-offs involved when selecting a load-out.

Every map has a sniping lane. And they aren't meant for every engagement. Go out and try and quickscope everyone and tell me how you do

Destiny, you must hit someone in the head, you have to survive scouts and pulses and supers and sh[i]i[/i]t. And it also depends on the sniper you use. Eirene takes skill cus of no aim assist (not counting LitC), and same with the Uzume, Hakke. I could go on. And in Y1 no one has said this. Now most of the Desticles do. Also, saying it's the easiest game to snipe on is an opinion. Not a fact.

However, majority of the snipers right now use the 1k yard stare. By itself it doesn't have a lot of aim assist when compared to something like shadow of veils or her benevolence from year one, but then you add the short gaze scope and then it becomes one of those. I personally prefer low aim assist sniper rifles on the rare days I feel like sniping. That is because aim assist on snipers is a little different than what many think. It simply decrease s the drag speed on a target. The more AA, the more sticky a sniper rifle will be on a target it doesn't pull bullets towards the head.

You're right about the aim assist being only drag on the targeting, but bullet magnetism also exists in the mechanics as well. They are governed separately.

Cod has sway on snipers. Destiny does not Cod has zoom scopes on their snipers while destiny has scopes that hardly zoom in at all Cod has 1-2 snipers that are bolt action that if hitting above the waist will 1 shot but if you miss you have a slow reload. Only thing that makes CoD sniping lame is those who can quick scope. Very hard to do and requires skill that you don't have. Cod is much more balanced weapon wise then destiny is tho. Especially when discussing sniping

I say cod is so much easier..... It is so easy to hit a quick 4 piece and look at the locus on BO3 it has bloody 10 bullets in the mag
