I dont know why but i play on normal and i can survive shooting a big boy at my feet with no armour or buffs on.

Do the confidence man quest and become immortal. Then just do whatever the hell you want with no concequences

Depends how fast you can run. I've narrowly survived quite a few times doing this. As soon as you hear the whistle just pick a direction and haul ass lol

I survived one while wearing t-60d power armor. It went off about a yard away from me.

I survived a Big Boy( 2 mini nukes) pointed directly down below me. Took 2 shots from it to kill me. I was wearing T-60d or b armor I think

Probably not. The suicider was pretty close but not direct. Like others have said, XO1 with blast resistance.

X01-mkVl armor with blast resistance would give you he best chance.

Yeah X-01 all decked out might hold but without power armor you better be good at running.
