I'm stuck on 360 until I can convince the kids to want an Xbox One (slow going so far). I support this move on Bungie's part as it's pretty evident that the old gen consoles are holding the game back. Interested to see what they will be able to accomplish in Destiny 2 without the limitations of the older generation as a sea anchor...

I bought an Xbone on day 1 for my son. He found all his friends were playing on 360 so he could play online with them. I bought him a second hand 360 to play on and now I have the Xbone. If you buy an Xbone for the kids, you don't get to play, so buy one for you and they can stick with the 360

I'm not the kind of guy who will just buy himself something, especially a $350 game console. Just wouldn't feel right doing it. I have to be able to at least SAY I'm doing it for the kids (maybe even believe it myself, at least a little bit). Same reason I don't have that Ghostbusters Lego set yet. I love it, and it's only $50, but... it's $50 and I don't NEED it, so I don't have it and probably never will.

Even so, I played a little Reach last night for old times' sake and it's AMAZING the level of graphics quality Bungie was able to squeeze out on the 360 for Destiny in comparison to Reach. Really an impressive feat, in the end, but it's time to let the old things go.

For me the real fear of the Flood came in the Library. I remember how long it took me to clear that mission on Legendary in the CE days... You know, now that I think about it, we got all that trouble battling hostile aliens while waiting for a robot sidekick to open a series of doors. That was 2001. In 2015 what have we progressed to? Yep, fighting to survive against hostile aliens while we wait for a robot sidekick to open a series of doors. Nice.

I tried getting my oldest into Halo (and even Destiny) but all she wanted to do was play "dress up" with the armor and character creation options, lol. I don't begrudge her that. Shooting aliens is just not their forte, and I won't force them into it. And they very well might pay for their college educations-- they are both straight - A students so far, in all advanced/gifted classes so I'm hoping for a couple of scholarships, eventually. Really proud of my girls in case that wasn't obvious, lol.

Your lucky, me and my brothers were hell raisers in stead of spending time studying and two of us decided to go for extra schooling... Well when you finally make the jump to One, if your looking for a group, I've got a clan for Adults on Xbox One, you're more than welcome to check it out. you've got family and teens... you'd fit in with the rest of us ;)

Thanks man! My little clan is still kicking, and most of them already have XB1's-- we played on 360 mostly for me and two other guys that haven't gone next-gen yet. I quit playing Destiny recently because I got pretty discouraged at my lack of skills, but maybe one of these days I will pick it up in the next gen.
