Got 2 friends into Destiny, bought limited editions for them on launch and got TTK limited also for one of them who stayed past TTK.
One of them doesn't play anymore due to no balances/whats the point if you can't play VoG for fun. However even then if I were to get them to come back as it's been a few mths..well, would be nice to have incentive to try when you have every other week.
Why refer anybody? If some of us were to leave from the same bullshit like this, then that already entices existing players to leave toi and less people to buy precious Silver/future games or dlc. Congrats you might get 1 more assignee getting TTK, you ofc don't give a shit if they leave since it's bought. But that also affects them buying the next thing or staying in the long run for the tiny bit of cash gained.
Alienated the whole -blam!-ing fanbase and expect to try get people into this while being spat in the face. Bungie are a close tie with EA for the golden shit award next yr right now.
Lets ask Breaking Benjamin lead if we can refer him as he did do Halo 2s Blow me away song.. Whats the bet for his opinion on this?
To the brain dead people who mope about "This is life/Just business/it's their game/every excuse under the sun etc etc
Pretty small payoff to bother getting friends who didn't already get signed up, and the amount of people bad mouthing the game now?
Lets burn down the Amazonion rainforest coz it's just business. This is why we get so much bad deals, crappy dlc and what not compared to 7 years ago. You hand in the towel for the easy way and bash others because you lack clarity.

true! I had 5 other friends (a.k.a my raid team) playing destiny back in year one around the time that the Dark Bellow launched. So me and my friends use to have so much fun getting loot from doing fun stuff like Vault of Glass, Croat's end and prison of elders. But then the quit, and for a good reason.
they made all of our hard earned year one gear completely useless. That made my friends super mad! So they quit. No more gally drops, no more fun challenging raids, no more fun/ exotic/ legendary gear to collect. And then they made it so your guns effect your light level! Are you kidding me! It was/ is a stupid idea. And on top of all their stupid ideas they made nightfalls useless. So maybe the 75% of the people from year one that they lost would come back if they, at least mad remastered versions of the old raids, and dedicated servers ( I want that shit)
Get your friends into heroin and get a brand new flashing blue needle… Than you can high five your actual friends but they won't be able to high five you back… I think anybody doing this is lame, the content is not worth it and we shouldn't be forced to promote a game in exchange for content already in the game. If they keep doing this they will lose more players. The end game content is just not enough and all their new quests are PVP oriented ! -blam!- YOU.

I directly caused 5 people to buy this game since it's release, all co-workers and life friends. One within less than 30 days of TTK's release. I gave him money towards his TTK purchase because I felt so guilty. Not one is still playing. This should reward anyone who has 1000 hours in because I can't with straight face tell anyone to buy this game anymore, not after TTK's multi-layer RNG and limited content.

I'm going to agree. After a year of destiny being released, NOW you want us to refer our friends? Please destiny, I know you are worried about your fan base leaving for superior games but this... this seems a bit despirate. How about you tell the tards in advertising/marketing(activision) they are driving your loyal fan base away and reclaim control your your game (bungie).

Signed. Anyone who had any interest in buying TTK would've bought it already, because they've spent the last couple months locked out of destiny content. Are we expected to convince them to spend £40-50 on things they evidently don't want? This would've played out very differently if it was implemented on release, but it wasn't. This timing doesn't make any sense to me.
