This sword quest is stupid
How in the flying fu** am I supposed to get 25 sword kills in the crucible easily. The hilt is worthless and has less range than a Titan Melee. I get like 2 chances a game to get heavy ammo and even if I get the heavy ammo I'm just going to be shot down by any other heavy ammo people have because all I have is a crappier arc blade with no armor bonus

It's a PITA, but you don't need to have ammo in your sword and it still counts. I did my first Titan with ammo before I found out you don't need it. Took me about 4 matches with my hunter and about 10 matches with my Warlock to get it done in Control - with no ammo. Just equip it, and run around meleing people with the sword hilt. I got as many as 7 kills as a hunter (went invisible) in one match. A friend of mine a Warlock got 11 kills in Iron Banner during one match that way this week. Very weird, but that does work. HTH..

I got 33 sword kills in 3 games with a 14 kill streak. Of course this was when TTK was fresh, and people are more adept and aware of how to deal with sword rushers.

If it's that hard get a friend to help in rumble . I was lucky and got into a lobby of people doing it so we all got it done in one game

When you get the heavy, don't run at the other team sword out right away..that's dumb most of them probably have rockets. Play cautious for a bit, let people kill each other with heavy/super, then run around with a sword. Should be able to get 3-5 per game. Don't forget about the sword block thing.

You know how many people have exotic swords and have managed to complete this quest? Enough to make this post redundant and stupid. It's easily doable.

A helpful hint: jump before swinging with hilt, then follow up with another swing. It has less time in between.

Wait until you have to get 500 ability kills. That's the real bastard. For guardian kills, just crouch around corners. I got my guardian kills finished in like 6 games in Iron Banner this week. The nice thing is you can see around corners in third person view while crouching, but the person you're waiting to pounce on can't see you. You can really surprise the shit out of some people this way. I think I killed at least 3 hammerbros this way. It was hilarious cuz -blam!- those hammerbros

Get 2 other friends and hop into rumble. You can get it done in 1 or 2 matches. People will get mad obviously because it's not the "legit way"... lol I always laugh when I hear this... but it's probably the best way to do it man.

Wait until everyone runs around with lmgs and rockets see your killfeed to see who still has heavy and as soon as everyone doesn't have heavy run with your sword you can camp Till heavy is over and then attack with sword

Grind, also play Mayhem when it's up, much more heavy, get a couple friends and do some hilt only rumble.
