A new Thorn is emerging (The First Curse).
People would move to Scout Rifles (As they were unaffected) now that Pulse Rifles are being nerfed. You see Bungie, you Nerf, we move to something else. Nerfing is not always the key, but you always take the easiest escape route. I'm not a handcannon user but Hawkmoon nerf was totally unnecessary, after all, it's an exotic, I can feel Hawkmoon users anger.

The First Curse will be very good, but not OP. It will have a really crazy range, but it has a low RoF, so it will not be a problem.

They actually want the meta to move. I think it more likely though that people will just shift back to auto rifles.

Hawkmoons range needed a reduction in my opinion. Seems Bungie forgot to apply the first handcannon nerf to it. Now pulse rifles will be ruined because that is what Bungie does. Nerf autos so they don't compete. Nerf handcannons so they don't compete. Now pulse rifles are awesome by default so now they have to be nerfed and how much do you want to bet the nerf will be too much? Shotguns got a nerf but then bungie gives you a 300 damage high range shotgun afterwards which is all over crucible so shotguns need another nerf. Just like with the last update Bungie creates more issues everytime they "fix" an issue. SMH.

Plus I really don't want pulse rifles to turn back into the crappy air soft guns they were in year 1. As far as shotguns go though, bungie needs to get the long range stick out of their ass and stop nerfing the stability on them, and start attacking individual shotguns... Such as the raid shotguns or conspiracy theory.

The one shot range is to far on shotguns for the most part. Hand cannon range was to far as well. Autos were nerfed to hard and are getting a 2nd buff finally but I fear it will be to much and autos will rule again. Wish they would playtest better before "balancing."

Bungie nerfs based on what's being used most, NOT based on what kills faster than others. Totally ass backwards, but that's how it has went since day one.

#1 they also buffed some things #2 buffing everything will also make cod TTK and I don't want cod TTK in Destiny #3 they're trying to balance the crucible, and are buffing most weapons nerfed in Pve

There's no need to nerf pulse rifles if everything else is getting buffed. And their entire approach to shotgun balance is just wrong.

I understand that, but if you keep buffing the weapons, they will be Not to mention since Destiny has mmo qualities to it, it also has the curse that all mmo's have: Power Creep. And believe me, power creep is much worse than nerfing.

Dumping a whole mag into someone to kill them isn't fun either. Auto rifles are pretty much there. Pulse rifles didn't have that fast of a time to kill. Buffing hand cannons accuracy and autos damage would had balanced the meta better then nerfing weapons into shit.

This post is straight up wrong. If you think the first curse will become the new thorn you need to check your brain, because I don't think it is working. And scouts? No, scouts will not become the most used weapons, not even close.

Honestly that is assuming the thorn users could headshot, i dont see them being a threat with first curse
