John 117 anyone know the meaning
Does anyone know if the master chief's name John 117 mean anything or is it a random name

He's the 117th John in a long and regal history of Johns. Seriously though, I think other people know a lot more than I do. I'm not up to snuff in my Halo lore outside of the three games.

117 is actually a reference to a part of the bible, and for halo canon its just the number he was assigned when he was abducted by ONI(office of navel intelligence)
