Posted by: HLG iZ usel3ss Yea you have two topics talking about Blood gulch. To be honest Blood gulch wasn't all that great. Maybe in Halo 1 it was fun, but in H2 i felt like it was old and wasn't fun anymore. The people who want it back so much are people who really enjoyed the maps and are probably new to H3 or are true Halo fans and just want it back. While they decided to make remakes of some of the old Halo 1 maps and H2 maps they just didn't fell the same as they do the original. (In my opinion Cold Storage fells the same). Blackout has some add rooms to it that most people don't like and Avalanche isn't even close to what snowbound was. People who want the old maps back are just not use to changes and want things to always be the same.
I don't know, the remakes oft feel the same to me, sans the graphic makeovers... But Blood Gulch was an institution. It was THE place for 16 player lans and goofing around in a sunny, warm environment. It's not so much about trying to make Halo 3 more like Halo 1 or 2; each game has a special place with me, and I'm sure others. It's more about bringing back what was one of, if not the most fun map in Halo for getting more enjoyment out of it, as it surely has more to offer.

Blood Gulch is a Halo: Combat Evolved map, remade in Halo 2 as Coagulation, and then mangled for Halo 3 and called Valhalla. It was the awesomest map (Especially the Halo 1 version without the pine trees and with the two half dead dried out trees, and more cover via the small hills, but the Halo 2 version had cooler bases) in Halo history, made famous in Red Vs Blue. It's also at the top of the list of old Halo maps people want brought back into Halo 3, and rightfully so.

It's one of the multiplayer maps on Halo CE. Blood Gultch was one of the better maps to system link a 4v4 capture the flag game on. It really helped set the pace for Halo and it's multiplayer capabilities. If like Halo the least little bit, you really should check out the first two Halo games. Not only are the multiplayer maps awesome, but the campaign for both is always fun to play through. Halo CE will always be a classic for me, just like Mario and Punch-Out. If Bungie brings any more maps back from previous games, it should be Waterworks first then followed by Headlong. I believe Halo 3 could use several more big maps instead of more small and medium sized levels. [Edited on 08.24.2009 6:31 AM PDT]

Blood Gulch was a very popular map from Halo: CE. It was remade for Halo 2 as Coagulation. To be honest with you, only hearing people describe Blood Gulch to you is not enough. You have to experience the map for yourself. Get some friends together with 4 discs of Halo: CE, system link 4 X-Boxes together, load up Blood Gulch/Coagulation... and delve into the sexyness that is... Blood Gulch...

Blood Gulch is the greatest map EVAR! it has been made of awesome and win ever since the days of the Halo PC demo. whoever said it wouldnt work for halo 3, i think it would be wonderful if they did bring it back WITHOUT equipment in the map. that would be like perfect

Only the best map from Halo and Halo 2 and probably the best map in the whole series.
-
Only the best map ever.
Posted by: Enigmas Shadow Blood gulch is a map from halo 2, ever seen any Red Vs Blue? Well where that takes place is Blood Gulch.
Coagulation was Halo 2. Blood Gultch was from Halo 1. ~ Skittles

how can you not know what blood gulch is? pretty much the best outdoor map ever.

As the previous posts have said, it's a map from Halo: Combat Evolved with two bases, opposite eachother surrounded by a huge, rock wall. In the middle of the map is a large grassland plain and teleporters are symmetrically placed at one base, and the receiver takes the player to a vantage point near the enemy base. Banshees are located beneath the bases and in the middle of the map is a cave/tunnel and opposite the cave are a group of scattered, huge rocks. The colour setting is similar to Beaver Creek. EDIT: It was featured in the Machinima Series 'Red Vs Blue' Click here for Screenshot I apologize, I am thinking of Coagulation. Blood Gulch was the Halo 2 Remake. [Edited on 08.24.2009 5:25 AM PDT]

It was also featured in Halo Wars. It is a huge fan favourite so it was right to be in there.
Posted by: Enigmas Shadow Blood gulch is a map from halo 2, ever seen any Red Vs Blue? Well where that takes place is Blood Gulch.
Your thinking of Coagulation. And OP, play Halo PC online to see it's greatness. Great game, great map. However, the map definitely wouldn't work for Halo 3. It should definitely be let be. blood gulchwas just a fun map i would love coagulation back but at (night)

Blood Gulch was an original Halo1 Multiplayer Map. (Very popular) It was basically a box canyon with one base on each side. It's most similar to Halo2's Coagulation and slighty similar to Halo3's Valhalla.
-
no bloodgulch is from halo 1 coagulation is for halo 2
-
But I know that but the map is Coagulation not Blood Gulch? is it a game or something
-
blood gultch is halo 1s vahalla or halo 2 coagulation
-
Blood gulch is a map from halo 2, ever seen any Red Vs Blue? Well where that takes place is Blood Gulch.
