Dear Bungie/community,
I am afraid I feel a calling, one I should've listened too back in October last year. My arduous journey with destiny has reached its climax.
TTK is already stale and the shiny, polished coat of paint created through once again, misleading advertising and false promises has become cracked and worn from the realisation that TTK is just a regurgitation of Y1's mistakes.
I was able to endure the grind with hope of destiny being re-invented through TTK, but now seeing that this is what Bungie consider to be the pinnacle of their creative talents with destiny, Ive lost hope.
I cant bring myself to slave through anymore of these chores set as part of a weekly routine. Now I just reflect to Y1 with scorn of how the feeling of exhaustion and faith wearing away are so similar to my daily grind through TTK.
Its not enjoyable, it never has been. Today I throw down the controller. Im too tired to run on the hamster wheel anymore.
Now I leave you Bungie, destiny community with a foul taste in my mouth of self pity, for all the time I wasted on seeking enjoyment but finding monotony, depression, for all the time I wasted when I could've been with my family or pursuing more important goals and at this stage, it really does go without saying, disappointment. Disappointment in you Bungie and how low you have gone to exploit your community, disappointment in how you have refused to take the most glaring feedback, and disappointment in how you have time and time again under-delivered in your promises.
Although I have fought with many of you and argued til it resorted to petty name calling, I leave you now with a dream of something we all once shared.
-Sincerely, a once loyal fan.
AYRES.
Edit: I have deleted the game off my hard drive and I cannot describe the enormous feeling of relief. Its like a boulder has been lifted off my shoulders.

Just bought Fallout 4 today, loving every second of it

Don't let the desticles get you down. Angry Joe has a good rant about this new generation of gamers bashing people for their critiques of a game and flaws it has. It made me feel better seeing a youtuber bringing it up. It is in his Halo 5 review.

I salute thee. Idk how much longer I can hold off the fight former guardian. Your points are head on and the time to leave is more then approaching. I too can sense an eerie ending
-
Hopefully, after quitting, you'll see how much more productive you can be when you aren't wasting your life grinding on Destiny, only to get pooped on by RNG. I'm going to start working out again since destiny pretty much took up all of my gym time.

Right on.

bump!

Edited by Romney57: 11/9/2015 12:33:04 PMAgree with you there, and yes I'm getting Fallout4 too. My biggest problem with Destiny and Bungivision is the lag on the PvP modes and Bungie's refusal to fix it or even acknowledge/discuss it, the most I got once was an auto reply blaming my connection, which I know is not true(I have it set up in an advanced way and had the line, connection and set up checked by my line provider and ISP). I also hate being forced into the Crucible to complete bounties and quests, they can't get us to play it legitimatly so they force us and I really hate that. I did not like them destroying all of my year one efforts, and rubbishing the weapons/armour that I worked really hard getting. For those guns i persevered through the frustration of not getting some of them for many months i.e. it took 7 months to get Gally and was booted many times from raids for not having it which also knocked on that I could not get the raid completed until I had progressed through the raid to get the Hunger of Crota bit of a catch 22 there !!! On top of this we have Bungie employees taking the piss and let me tell you that is the final straw, Destiny can fcuk off, I have been very near snapping the disc, I have only just upgraded to a PS4 and got a Destiny bundle so it won't cost me much to do that and as for Smith's comment that we should throw money at the screen, well, he's another one that can fcuk off. Why Deej and Smith and a few others still have their jobs I do not know? I hope Destiny's becomes the game known as "the game that killed itself" especially considering how much they have rubbished us players and it's only just one year into a 10 year franchise, the way they are going it won't be long either. These corporate money grubbing monsters have no idea what it's like at this end as they work off of percentages and meta data instead of visiting people like me and the average joe playing this game and get some real feed back. Well, enough from me, all I say online about Destiny falls on deaf ears sadly and without a drastic turn of events from Bungie it's Fallout4 and the occaisional look at this game until the next DLC slams the door in my face or I snap the disc and send it to them!!!

well said! ive not deleted it yet but have not felt the need for it in over a week! feels great , this trailer looked brilliant btw it makes it look like theres a story to taking back the planet's ... its been a year and a bit now and ive not felt like weve took back anything

Enjoy Fallout 4.

*Salute* The grim reality of this game and the community itself is very crippling. Many were warned against buying TTK, for the future of the game itself. However, it will only continue to devolve and get worse unless the players understand that they have an obligation to do what is necessary to enforce actual standards of quality. Godspeed, Ayres. I've personally been playing Halo 5 which has been, on a whole, a much more fulfilling experience. Fallout 4 will be the icing on top of it all.

-
Ah yes another one. These posts make me so happy
-
i'll have to play with a chastity belt on so I can resist the urge to touch myself.
-
Well sir. I tip my hat to you and wish you good luck. I will be on this hamster wheel a little while longer. I enjoy destiny, and find it better to do something then nothing, once the next DLC is out, I'm done

I believe that Fallout has also been overhyped :/

Bump for Fo4
-
Well, Fallout should keep you and many others (Myself included) busy and entertained for a while. There is also Star Wars Battlefront too which should be pretty good if Dice manages to have a stable release unlike BF4's release which was a horribly buggy laggy mess. Good luck and most importantly have fun.
-
Such a let down to watch the original trailers and see what this game could have been, on the other hand, Bethesda has never disappointed me....Fallout 4 here I come
-
Serious bump for THE hardest truth of all for Bungie: better quality games are taking over.
-
Well said. I myself have wasted too many hrs in this game and now look back and wonder why.

I feel this post so much.
