Halo 4 had a Cryptum. It also launched before Destiny. To add, due to a good fellows reminder, they have been in Halo lore for quite some time. I swear if this is another "Halo is copying Destiny OMG!1!1!!!!11" thread...

Ummm, the traveler was first seen in Halo reach, made by Bungie. Also, Halo 5 Guardians has a character named Osiris Also, Halo Nightfall(which was released after Joe Staten left Bungie. Hmmmm...these can't all be coincidence, can they? The world may never know!

I should have stated this more clearly, but Cryptums have existed in Halo lore for quite some time, prior to Halo 3, I believe.
Also, Halo 5 Guardians has a character named Osiris
Guardians were in Halo since Halo 3, "killed by the guardians" would come up if the player was killed by something, and the game didn't know what to categorize it as. There is no character in Halo 5 by the name of Osiris. That is the fireteam. A fireteam that was announced last December. Before Trials of Osiris was ever announced. I'd also like to add that Trials functions exactly like Breakout, which was in the Halo 5 Beta which launched on Dec 25. Good originality Bungie.
Also, Halo Nightfall(which was released after Joe Staten left Bungie.
Nightfall was a level in Halo reach. The title also refers to what happens in the film. The characters need to complete their task during he nightfall, because if the sun comes up while they're there, it would kill them.
Hmmmm...these can't all be coincidence, can they? The world may never know!
Perhaps if you actually looked into things, just a little bit, you would know that it is completely coincidence.

It could all just be coincidence. It appears you have me on all points but one. Osiris was a character in Joe Staten's original script for Destiny ... But its still possible to use that name independently of each other... Otherwise, cheers mate

Edited by Vilhelmus II: 11/1/2015 5:10:10 AMOsiris is the name of an ancient Egyptian god. Not really an original name. Cheers.

Destiny was being produced before Halo 4 was being created, I think...

It was. However Cryptums have been a part of Halo lore for awhile, I believe. And having a piece of technology that is shaped like a sphere isn't exactly new. Personally I prefer the look of Cryptums. The black with lights running through it makes it far more aesthetically pleasing than a broken and rusty white ball.

I know, I was just pointing out a small flaw in your argument. If you changed your original argument from "specifically Halo 4" to "Halo Lore/Story" You would be golden.
