Well, you wouldn't really be around for it, unless you were buried alive. But I can't think of anyone I know who'd want that.

No of course not. I just prefer the idea of being cremated as opposed to lying in the earth with a bunch of strangers.

A stranger is only a stranger until you get to know 'em. That's a big part of the beauty I find in death, myself. It's the ultimate unifying fate that binds us together, not as different socioeconomic classes, different races, different ethnicities, but merely as what we are, mortal flesh and blood. Of course, that beauty exists no matter what we choose to have done with our bodies after the fact. Dead is dead after all. And cremation has its own beauty as well, in that it's a quicker return to the earth that we call home in life, so I don't blame you for having a preference.
