I was gonna respond with an explanation but I'd like to hear yours first.

Say the vex in say year 2800 go back to the year 2700 to kill all of us right? They live on happily and come the year 2800 they have no reason to go back in time and kill us, so therefore either A. Nothing happens B. The universe blows up C. The change only takes place in that one universe if you assume the multiverse theory. If A. happens then nothing happens. The Vex wouldn't risk B. If C. happens so what. It's one universe that it occurs in and the chances of it being ours are minimal. Even if it is ours who cares tge other universes continue to go along fine.
