But Bungie has said they don't want to limit their arsenal of weapons, they want variety. So by adding the entire year 1 arsenal to the year 2 arsenal and having a wider array of weapons and armor to choose you will be limiting your weapons and armor choices and so the only way to have more variety is to have less weapons and armor. This is what Bungie calls "logic". On a more serious note, however, I have long felt that Bungie will concoct some convoluted way to upgrade your year 1's into year 2. The community will cheer and celebrate. Then two days later Bungie will release a Weekly Update basically saying that with year 2 coming to a close and year 3 on the horizon, year 2 weapons and armor will not be moving forward into year 3. I can say this with utmost confidence b/c this event has already taken place, as year 1 players will note. This will be just another iteration of the same event.
