Wow...I actually have only 1 problem with this. I'm of the opinion that Cauterize should ONLY proc on grenades and melee. No super kills should proc the heal. Other than that, knock the armor down to Stormtrance level and we're golden.

So to clarify, do you believe Cauterize should be left in but not affect Super? Because in my change list, Cauterize is actually removed in favor of a different perk. As far as Cauterize only affecting Melee/Grenade - it makes the perk too weak, IMO, and doesn't add any choice in which of the 3 end-tier perks to choose. At that point you either choose Simmering Flames for the stronger neutral game or Fire Keeper for the stronger super, as Cauterize on just grenade/melee is very situational. But removing Cauterize from HoS and knocking the armor down is too much of a nerf - it would actually make HoS weaker than Stormtrance.

Don't you think there should be a pvp only reduction of cauterize speed? Right now it is MUCH faster than hungering blade.
-
I personally think Cauterize should just outright be removed. It fills the same role as Hungering Blade on a subclass that simply does not really need it.
-
Hmm... you make good points. Although, it would shake up the dynamic of the final tree and add some actual choice, because as it stands, there is really no situation I can think of where Cauterize isn't the clear winner, and bumping it off of hammer kills would equalize the usefulness of it with simmering flames. You think?

I feel like Simmering Flames would be clearly better in that case as often you won't rely on regen after using grenade or melee - usually if you're using either it's to either outright kill someone with fusion grenade or finish up on someone with melee - whereas Simmering Flames' buff is so massive that I personally wouldn't care to take Cauterize.

Damnit, you win again. Alright, I concede the day to you, good sir!

Eh, the problem is that so many people are stuck in the mindset of Cauterize healing being so good (I was that way myself at one point) that they don't stop to realize that outside of super, Cauterize isn't nearly as strong as my suggested replacement, for example.
