Except for Jolder's Hammer (which I still use today) gear was never really it for me in IB1. In IB1 it was all about the Etheric Light for me. Now that EL is gone, I don't really have a reason to play IB2. I tried it out (293 light) and got to rank 2 then took a closer look at the 280 gear being sold and quit. I'm not playing it. The gear is not worth the time sink. I'd play it for 300 level gear, but I don't see Bungie changing it as they only want you getting 300+ gear from the Raid.
