I agree with a lot of what the OP stated. My experience was that post-match rewards were very disappointing. During my grind to rank 5, I received 2 boots (with pretty much the same roll) and a mark and never saw anyone get something that Saladin wasn't selling. On top of that, I saw far too many reward screens where my team won and there were NO drops of any kind; not even some rares or coins or whatever; nothing. Furthermore, I consistently saw the top 2-3 players of a team not be rewarded when the bottom 3 were rewarded (usually it'd be a losing reward screen where the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place get some consolation prize while the 1st and 3rd best scorers were left with nothing).
Long story short, if post-game rewards are the primary way to IB loot, then the loot screens drop rates need to convey that. Give winning teams and high scoring players the rewards they deserve, whether it be some crappy blues, an engram, or coins; just SOMETHING. Give incentive to grind out the 5 ranks and beyond so we know we aren't wasting our time chasing "promised" rewards that don't seem to be coming our way anytime soon.

The sad thing is I often saw the top player get nothing while the rest of the team got something. That should never happen and there should be guaranteed loot for the top player of each team. I would rarely ever see that loot but would be nice to know it is there. Top spot should also have much higher legendary drop rate.

I got zero drops to 5. One of my clan-mates got a cloak, at 260. That's all I've seen drop in my play. It's definitely broken.
