So much better. Actually good competition, no thorn, fair play, mercy rule only happened when I was in a bad match (once!) and was very enjoyable.
Although, I like normal crucible too.
I had a K/D 2.23 match with 29 kills.
I don't really care if I got nothing good, because it was the most fun I had playing PvP yet.

The crucible balance was far better, but the even itself sucked. I got one drop, and I think I saw maybe 3 total drops including teammates and opponents all the way to rank 5.
