I miss the days of Crota and VoG when you did get armor, it was max level. I'm grumps that Kings Fall raid gear drops at random levels. Why add another layer of RNG on us?
I also know some people will say that VoG loot was tough to get anything to drop, and I agree. However I have only gotten boots for my Titan 4 weeks in a row.. so RNG is still at large. My Titan is going to be forever >305.
-
That would make things too easy
-
Got a 310 armor piece but shitty perks and stats you hate? Save that shit and shove it in a decent 301 piece! Let's hope that good piece goes to 310! Oh it stopped at 309? To bad! Go get another 310 piece! Nothing but rng grinding raids until the next dlc comes out.
-
So you keep playing
-
So you grind.
-
Cos its random plus with the extoics can land at 310 with luck it doesnt really need too drop every time at 310
-
Sooo true. They might as well make it like the old days where you were just waiting for that one piece to drop.... kinda like RIGHT NOW. Summinabitsh! They warped us back to VOG and we didn't even notice!!!! WTF!
-
Grind, young grasshopper, grind.
-
New light system. Hard will drop better gear. Much better system than before. Makes it worth the work instead of farming hard for a helmet and a couple primaries like crotas end.
-
Yeah it's a pain, i've had the ghost and a few weapons drop at 300, kinda disappointing
-
Because to this day Bungie still doesn't know how make an actual working loot system.
-
i personally wouldn't care at all if they lowered the drop rate for all legendary items down substantially. and when i say substantially, i mean from the roughly 70 pct chance it is now, to around 5 pct. but that is only if, and it is a big if, they remove the reset function. i have never in my life played a loot-based game that tries so hard to cater to lucky casual players. make the shit REALLY rare, but don't limit how much i can play the game with a point. this shit is broken
-
Because Bungie hates you.
-
Because Bungie knows that even if you get insubstantial gear, your ass is still gonna keep running around that hamster wheel until you do get lucky. If they can herd you into a pen, attach pumps to you, and milk all of those hours out of you, then they are going to do it every time
-
The problem is that only one boss (golgoroth) drops either gloves, chest or boots. So if you get shards or a repeat on big G then you basically got screwed big time
-
I had a 310 ghost drop for me
-
It wouldn't be as big a deal if they actually dropped you items you don't already have twelve of. I can't get a boot roll above 300, and I haven't seen a helm or a heavy at all, which means I'm stuck at 305. And the drop rate from 3oC seems to have plummeted after the last two updates even when waiting 10-15 minutes between use.
-
I got a 309 chestplate for my hunter so its not enough to get the piece of armor i now gotta hope the next time it drops i get it at 310
-
Because rng hates us. The only raid drop I have received at 310 was the god awful auto rifle. The VAST majority of my gear drops have been sub 303. I have never received a heavy. And the only special I have gotten is the shotgun. No boots. No helm. No fusion rifle. No sniper. No lmg. No rocket launcher. No pulse. No scout. The rng drop rates are far worse than VOG, and to make matters worse they can drop at 300 when you do finally get them? Bungie plz.
-
Artificially extending the life of the game. That's the only reason. They want people to grind for that piece of grind. The boots, shell, and class item are hopeless unless you get a drop from the raid.
-
To increase your play time even more be to easy just getting them to drop so now you not only need to get the one drop you need it needs to drop 310
-
Grind
-
Isn't it obvious? The more Bungle can make you grind out for higher level items, the more you play. The more you play, the better it is for them
-
Because bungie wants you to run the raid multiple times so they can pad their stats
-
Just imagine if we couldn't switch weapons around, could be much worse.
-
To keep you playing. Thats Bungies definition of "replayability"
-
And bungie always talking about trying to do what players want and blablabla. They do this intentionally it seems. A company this big can not make the same mistake time after time. In the end numbers will show the truth when people switch to other games soon.
