Failed to Install Destiny to Xbox One

Okay, so I've been trying to install destiny for two days now with no luck. The installation from the disc takes hours and hours only for it to fail at 87%. I've called Microsoft and gone through everything possible to fix this issue. This had no success. Microsoft seem to think it's an error on your end. The error code that keeps popping up is 0x87e0000f. This is extremely annoying and a waste of time. To be honest I'm thinking about just getting rid of the game if it's this difficult just to install it.

  • Have you had your xbox one for a while, or is it new? There are some general suggestions if you pop in that error code on this page: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/error-code-lookup I've also seen some other posts on the xbox forums suggesting deleting what you have installed currently and completely disconnecting your xbox from the internet. Then pop your disk in and try installing while disconnected. Do not start the game until it is finished, even though the dashboard will show "ready to start" while it is still copying. If it progresses to 100%, then reconnect to the internet and try playing. I suppose it's possible there could be something wrong with the disk itself. If you just got the game, you could bring it back to your retailer and ask for an exchange, or if there is somebody that could borrow you their disk, maybe try that to see if the install gets any farther.
