...should no longer be possible, and here's why.
I seriously doubt I'm alone in hating when this happens, because every time I join a match already underway, I join the team getting absolutely wrecked. Normally it's no big deal, but this is especially problematic during Iron Banner. Now, for teams that will still get beaten badly in the Crucible and happen to lose a teammate or two, that's just tough. But if it weren't possible to join in-progress matches, and that became common knowledge, that would give everyone even more incentive to stay in the game and at least try to fight back, because no decent competitor would screw over his or her team like that, ruining the integrity of PVP. Finally, perhaps this could be reinforced by harsher penalties for those that quit out, and more frequent rewards for those that routinely complete full Crucible matches, like how the new Strike reward system works. Really give players reason to not quit, and keep lone wolves and small fireteams from wandering into a PVP slaughter.

Matchmaking is doing what it was intended to do. If you don't like it join a fire team
