Girls that Game

Girls, please ignore the guys who rant on you for being the opposite gender. I've seen too many posts here get trolled by guys that think they own the gaming community. They revert back to cave man ideology by saying things such as, "get back in the kitchen" or "stop saying you're a girl gamer, attention wh***, stfu or gtfo". These guys have obviously had troubled pasts with girls in general. Hell, I'm a guy and I still wouldn't join these turds. I know I cannot speak for all of the other guys out there, but I know for certain that a gaming community, with an equal amount of both genders, would be amazing. It would be like going to the public library, where one can see both sexes coexisting without gender discrimination; like a utopian society. Maybe, if some guys were more accepting of the opposite gender entering the pool, we would have already reached that point... But that's one guy's two cents. What do you girls and guys think about this subject? Does it even cross your mind? Post your thoughts, I'm curious to hear (or read in this case) your opinions.

I feel like there aren't enough normal people who play Destiny. There are so many annoying archetypes I encounter daily, both male and female. For your entertainment I've listed some that I can think of. So, it seems like every time I get matched, my options are: Males 1. 12 year old who either wants to be carried OR thinks he knows everything about the game and won't shut up; 2. Thirst machine who thinks because he was on your fireteam you're now obligated to send him lewd pictures, despite him having the gaming proficiency of a doorknob and you having booted him a million times; Or; 3. Idiot who doesn't take you seriously and steals all your kills, then complains that you're "useless" after you spent the majority of the raid/strike/match picking up after his careless mistakes. Then of course there's the other side of the spectrum. Females 1. The damsel in distress who's constantly hanging back and basically letting everyone else do the work. She probably has a twitch account and thinks her twelve followers make her special. See: Kaceytron; 2. The one who has something to prove so she makes a point of charging ahead, though she spends most of the time either getting revived or waiting to be revived. Thinks she's edgy because one of her tree characters is a dude. Or; 3. The one who's only playing Destiny because her new bae plays it and she wants the D, but is actually super into it. // Oh and let's not forget the "has every gun and everyone needs to know it" guy, and the "super obscure quest no one wants to play" guy. Those are fun too. --> before anyone gets butthurt, I'm not saying everyone falls into these stereotypes, but they exist and they're hilarious for those of us who just shut up and play the -blam!-ing game. Shit I think the patch just finished downloading. Lmfao.
