This is a great! Destiny should be competitive

This is good but certain things should be changed

This sounds like a bad idea but it could work

This is a very bad idea. Destiny should be casual

Rage Quitting is a major problem in competitive multiplayer games like League of Legends, Call of Duty, Halo and in our case, Destiny. It's been a year since Destiny's inception and with the arrival of The Taken King and the new questing system, rage quitting and leaving is as bad as ever with players simply leaving games if they can't get what they want done. This shouldn't be viewed as acceptable and those who decide to take part in leaving a fresh match should be disciplined accordingly with the punishment increasing in severity with each time they quit. Before I propose my idea of the punishment, I will state again that this would only be relevant for fresh matches, meaning you wouldn't be punished if you joined a late game. This is what would happen in an ideal situation... 1. First time leaving a game = 20 minute ban from all PvP activities. 2. This multiplies by 2X each time you leave a game until the weekly reset. This may seem harsh but other IP's use a version of this system and they do very well. I personally want to see Destiny on the eSports scene and this along with Trials of Osiris is another step towards making Destiny a more fun and competitive game.

 • Matchmaking should do its job correctly if someone leaves and find a player suitable to join. The problem is the people who leave either disconnect which happens alot or quit due to unknown responsibilites or because they are raging. Most of the time matchmaking doesnt kick in until the first heavy drops and when you join a match in progress you almost always quit because you spawn in at a huge disadvantage, leading you to quit as soon as you join. Banning people or even temp banning people for leaving crucible matches isn't a good idea if most quitters are due to disconnects (bad connections, huge problem in p2p) or joining late (poor matchmaking). They should however issue temp bans to people who constantly leave matches instead of finishing them, just like with strikes.
