Well, back then you had to unlock the defense rating bubbles on the gear, but the when maxed it gave you enough to be level 30.
The difference is the defense bubbles went away and the gear now comes locked at it's light level.

Thats the point I was trying to make. You still had to dump experince into the gear to unlock the bubbles before it got you to max level. It was never sold "maxed out". I guess my post wasn't as clear as it was in my head lol.

Well, I look at infusion different than simply filling in the blanks. You have to actually get other gear that gets you the light level, which is not guaranteed. The old gear was at a fixed light level that was above the vendor stuff.

Ok there is a difference in using bounties to level up gear to max level and it is done in minutes if not seconds Also in HoW by playing IB you can buy the gear you like and at the same time buy ethiric light needed to upgrade it .. But now you get the gear or buy it and you need to grind and hope you get better gear to infue and at that point why not use the higher level you grinded instead of IB You got the point .. Before you can max your gear in seconds now it needs long time of grinding with good luck for RNG
