Supers kill Sunbreakers too (even if they are a tad OP)

*A note to readers - this post has been amended slightly based on some good conversation that has taken place. Upon listening to some great points (that were politely given), I have reconsidered a couple fine details and have adjusted the post accordingly. Thanks to all who are willing to engage in a civilized manner.* Is it just me or does it seem like everyone complaining about Sunbreakers are speaking as if we've just got Titans roaming around the map with their super on all the time. Everyone gets super at some point. Kill them with it if you're afraid of dying to them. HoS seems to be slightly OP. However, the rest of their subclass is somewhat underwhelming. While that may not excuse hammers being as strong as they are, you can still certainly counter them, and they are not as OP as a lot of people are making them out to be. Supers that can shut down sunbreaker in their super: 1. Fist of havoc 2. Nova bomb 3. Golden gun (it's only a non-OHK when sunbreaker has maxed armor spec PLUS a chest piece with additional solar armor - same as Sunsinger BTW) 4. Shadowshot (a risk, to be sure) 5. Another sunbreaker (duh) That's 5 supers (which can be found on any of the 3 available classes) that can shutdown a sunbreaker. I'd appreciate the conversation to steer away from it being about the super as if it's always active. Supers counter supers and always will, so feel free to use that. At least let it be a thing that is discussed instead of saying something ignorant like, "they can't be killed!" You know that's an exaggeration, even if their super is a bit stronger than it should be. I'd also like to say I main PVE and I don't want whiny crucible players to ruin the most fun subclass I've played on for PVE content. Historically, nerfs on subclasses are not contained to only PVE or only PVP. Sorry to those who liked using bladedancers in PVE early in year 1. But forgive me if I don't want my favorite new PVE subclass to receive the same fate. Edit: for the record I understand there are many ways to shut down a supering guardian. Other supers seem to never come up in the topic, or at least not as much as they should, hence my above argument. Edit 2: I do, for the record, consider the super to be OP. I have used it and gone against it, although it feels stronger using it than it does facing it. However, I don't think the subclass as a whole is OP. Edit 3: cauterize definitely adds to the OP nature. I was honestly surprised to see it as an available perk. Edit 4: I did it guys. I made it to 308 light. Does anybody care? Yeah, I didn't think so. Edit 5: my KD blows and its not a secret. Not sure why that even comes up. Are the only people who are allowed to discuss anything about the game required to have tier 1 KDs? I think not. Please just get over yourself - this isn't a dick measuring contest. Hey this is my first trending post! MOM! Grab the camera! TL:DR - I typed a lot of things. You don't have to read it. Say whatever you want! Somebody mentioned tea - can anyone supply us with some tea? Final edit: I can't lie I think Sunbreakers are a bit too strong for PVP. I can see damage reduction going to 50% - do you guys think that would be an appropriate change? I can't see them getting rid of cauterize, although I don't think it should exist. Thanks for all the good conversation!

 • Yesterday, I ran into a Sunbreaker and pulled out a 305 1000-Yard Stare. Shot him in the face and it gave me a critical hit. He didn't die. I got pissed off so I switched to Felwinter's. I run into him agian and then shoot him with a Felwinter's from behind literally 2 feet away and melee him with a fully charged energy drain. He lived again. The only way to kill a Sunbreaker is to counter him with another super, and if that is the case, why can Warlocks and Hunters be killed during their super really easily? During Raidiance, it takes one shotgun or a few shots with primary and a melee to kill and golden gun takes one shotgun. Sunbreaker is just annoying and OP. Bungie should lower the health that you get as a Sunbreaker to balance the game so that they are not invincible throwing unlimited Golden Guns with Grenades and Horseshoes and tracking.
