This is an old tread, but it's discovered on how to open it!
Daily paradox mission is the key (ONLY IF U HAVE TTK):
- Find all the dead ghosts and the vex timegate before atheon's room will open up!
- Kill everything inside including the champion and the door will open for you.
If u need to know more, just google it. It's pretty easy.
Remember, as far as i know this is only obtainable if the daily mission is The Paradox.

This is one of the missions for the sleeper stimulant quest if I'm not wrong. Nonetheless, it was a fun mission to do. Make sure you have a decent fire team, the room with the champion will give you trouble if the ads aren't killed first.
