I had the same experience. I logged in and found 3 sparks of light at the postmaster.
I only have two characters and one is a lvl 9.
I thought it was Bungie's nice nude to buy TTK.
Now I think it's just a glitch. But I am going to try it on my lvl 9. :)

I believe it only works for ttk users, but let me know of that's wrong. I already have 3 level 34 characters, so It's useless to me especially without ttk

Edited by SilverPulse: 10/12/2015 12:18:22 PMJust wanted to let you know that it worked on my level 9 Hunter and I do not have TTK DLC. Now it's a level 24. The only down side is you don't gain any experience on your subclasses. What ever you had before using spark of light is all you have after the upgrade. It just makes it easier to now go thru the story line as a 24 vs 9.

I thought it have experience for the subclass that would make up for skipping all those levels. Almost thought about deleting a character to try for better crucible stats, now that I'm over the learning curve. Figured it's not worth it

Edited by SilverPulse: 10/12/2015 4:15:24 PMYes. I agree. If you have a character over 24 with subclass experience it's not worth it. If you don't, like me, it allows you to skip levels. The plus for me is I had pre TTK exotic Hunter gear in the vault that I couldn't use. Now I can and play the story line w/o issues. It also opened up all the bounties available. Still not bad for a glitch with no TTK DLC. Just got to work up the subclasses. Also I am one of the few who does not have three characters. I just don't have the time and fall fishing is getting hot right now. Rather be on the boat than tossing money at my screen. :)

I hear you, but once you get one character maxed where you want it, doesn't take much effort to do another one, at least it didn't used to anyways

It's useless with ttk if all your characters are lvl 25+

Edited by Quarantane : 10/8/2015 4:36:53 PMYes, but especially useless to me, since I do not have ttk Edit: Thanks for confirming that, I had suspected it, but didn't know for sure

Edited by CygnesUmbra: 10/9/2015 1:22:30 AMI used one of mine. It leveled the character to level 25, gave me 1 item for each gear slot and a speeder. It didn't level up or increase any of my subclasses or equipped gear. And after using it I restarted the game and didn't notice or see any change in quests or accesses to missions, strikes, bounties, or anything else on each planet. It still has the locked emblem on all "The Dark Below", "House of Wolves", and "The Taken King" quests. I planned to try and see if the character goes above level 34, if it does then I think it's be worth deleting my Hunter and starting over. In my honest opinion, I think it works best with a level 1 character, that way you can still level your subclass as you progress through the missions.
