So Psions aren't actually Cabal :0
so i was talking to my friend today and he told me that the Psions are not cabal, they are actually a slave race that the Cabal conquered.
they wear masks to restrain them from using the full extent of their power so they cannot beat the cabal
he also said that in the next cabal DLC there will be a Psion who gives us quests

Edit 2: a lot of negative comments on here, just remember guardians this is what i have been told is partially in the grimoire and with the Psion quests yes this is unconfirmed but wouldn't it be good if it happens ? i see too many people who are quick to mock and put hate on ppl, why don't u just join in with a friendly manner as at the end of the day it is only a game.

He said that Pepperonis were just a master slave race of pizza, and they are a lot stronger than pizza, but they have to put the pepperonis face down so they cant see and take over pizza race. Some cabals are banished from the empire, sent to war and if they don't win the war, they aren't allowed back in. Just a fun fact. I Jeff the cabal willingly went to war. :) Also, when a cabal leader dies, often time that leader's army are Lieutenants will often try to hunt down the killer at all costs. Many cabals are loyal to their leaders and other fellow cabals higher rank than themselves.

i haven't read the newest grimoire yet but i think it was assumed that they are not cabal because of how tiny they r compared to the cabal but idk if it was straight out said im also wondering were they got the slave thing because both Psion and cabal r powerful in different ways I just always assumed they benifit off each other so they work together

If they are from the same planet/planets as the cabal, the cabal could have either come up with tech to nullify psions or they could have evolved some form of defense against them.

7 RepliesIt's true we do know that psions are not the same race as the cabal. However it is not known why they working together. One possibility is as you said, a slave race who the cabal conquered and then realized their potential. However they have psions flayers powerful enough to pull moons out of orbits, this suggest to me that they have the power to kill the cabal but choose not too which could indicate they are not forced into this. Another possibility is that they are similar to the covenant in Halo. They are two different races brought together by some event. Perhaps they have always been allies. Perhaps they once fought and realized in order to survive they must cooperate. We know the cabal are running, we have seen images (holograms) of what appears to be their home world which appears to have been severely damaged. The psions may be in the same situation. About the cabal blowing up planets and moons that they pass by. I do not believe this to be a evil behavior, but a combat tactic. They are running from something, armies would typically blaze the ground they lost upon retreating so that the advancing army cannot follow as easily. The cabal may well be doing the exact same but due to the massive scale of this retreat, planets are fields, moons are bunkers and we just happen to be their next stop.

This also suggests that they are willing to work for the cabal, but are secretly afraid of them, bc they are technically slaves
