Destiny has helped me greatly with my anxiety problems. Thank you so much bungie. :)

I have had an anxiety disorder my entire life. While I was a teenager, it gotten so much worse. I have always had these panic, scared moments that accurate every so often throughout my life and it has been extremely tough. About a few years ago, these things slowed down and my problems have gotten much better. However anxiety still follows me around like a shadow. It's kinda just like "my names anxiety and my purpose here is to follow you and kick you in the dick once in a while. Don't mind me". Anyways, to my point. About a year before I bought destiny, anxiety's best friend came in to further stomp me into the dust. Depression. I've faced depression back when I was a lot younger. I faced it for about 2 years and needless to say, it was the worst 2 years of my life. Depression was coming back, I talked to my doctors and no doubt this was depression. It was creaking back in and I was already sad just knowing its around the corner aiming fist right to my face. Luckily, a year later, destiny came out. It wa something that really got my mind off of the world and just focus on something so much easier. Along with the friends and the experience I made on this game, it was honestly incredible. Today I stand with depression free, and anxiety still creeping around me, but not attacking me. Thanks to destiny. For the past year of me playing destiny, my problems have gotten so much better. I remembered my friend nagging me into getting destiny, and I honestly didn't want to get it at first. I really wanted it, yet I don't know how much I wanted it. I decided to drop 60$ on it, picked it up and little did I how I would have a year of amazing and fun experience. It has helped me reduce so much stress, it has gotten my mind off of so many problems and have just in all, helped me get pass almost all my problems. Not to mention the many great people I've met playing this game. This PSN I have right now was recently made when I bought me PS4, I currently have a little over 100 friends, and about 90% of them where met through destiny. The other 10% are my real life friends. A great handful of them now still plays daily and really supports me. Sometimes I am just so happy to see how great of a community we have. Destiny has gotten so much stress off my back, and has helped me so much. Now that destiny has been out for over a year now, I think it is very appropriate me for me just say, thank you bungie. You have honestly helped me a great deal, helped me a great amount, and I just want you to know that. :) -Sincerely, Jeff the Cabal

  • I haven't had any problems like yours, bit I used to be really bad at speaking to people over the phone. Since playing destiny and have to communicate so much with strangers over the mic for raids and such I've gotten alot better and my boss has noticed aswell. So thanks for that bungie :)
