The truth us out there, search the landscape he says....
The effort that was put into finding the sleeper especially over at r/searchforthesleeper is unreal. Bungie just let everyone spend countless hours of research and exploring just to laugh at us. This is the biggest disappointment in any game I've ever played. It couldve been so much better than a time released event. I'm still going to play but damn what a let down.
Bump if you agree so they know that simply time stamping a quest is unacceptable and just another artificial way to increase playtime
Edit: bungie said to look so the community did. Had they said nothing i wouldnt be as salty but they said it was out there and thats what bothers me

Oh no, people got together enjoying a game that they liked because of a piece of loot that wasn't out yet. What a tragedy.

Are you really, really upset that Bungie let people make their own assumptions and beliefs? Are you really complaining that people spent time, passionately trying to figure everything out, just for the fun of it? Does it bother you that much? If so, this just proves that people in this community will bitch about anything that they can.
-
A lot of people spent a lot of time on the sleeper. Time wasted chasing a gun IMO. All theories just to get that chance to become a "snowflake". Granted it would be awesome. Except no one knows what it is capable of. My narcissistic side hopes the gun is shitty, and on the other hand I hope everyone is happy how the gun acts.

Yeah. I'm actually done with Destiny. This was sleazy. I've played it a good amount so no complaints about money spent, but the way they are handling business is gross.
-
already brought this up, but the 12 year olds got butthurt about it and don't like the fact that Reddit is superior to Bungie Forums. Wouldn't waste your time worrying about it, Better games coming out in a few weeks anyway mate.
-
Maybe bungie thought that no one was going in the right direction and that's why they released it out to everyone.
-
I think time stamping was a great idea. I've never encountered a game where people gorge themselves on content so quickly only to complain 5 minutes later they are bored. And I've played a LOT of games, too many probably lol. Even if it's artificial, bungie has to extend play time and give players something to look forward to. Personally the search for sleeper is one of the more entertaining forum topics I've seen in the last year. Nice break from the constant nerf rage posts

Wait are people getting it now
-
I doubt it, but maybe they switched it on THIS Wednesday because of the efforts that the community put into finding it
-
Can someone please explain this to me?
-
No Time to Explain for next timestamp event?
-
On balance I don't really care for time gates, but I really can't think of another way to make the search last any amount of time. People tear through almost everything at lightning speed at this point.
-
How do you get it
-
Sad thing is, you're right and I thought the same thing for a while
-
I love how as soon as someone complains about something they are immediately a CoD player and they need to go back. The amount of toxicity in this forum is truly staggering.

Wow so many assholes
-
Half of this game is based off player "assumptions" there what make the mystery to the game so enjoyable
-
It's your fault for wasting time.

I've been saying this for weeks in each of these fanatic searching party threads but they all went ape shit when you tell them the truth.
-
Where is Butthurt when you need him?
-
I wasted
0 seconds
on the search for the sleeper.
-
never heard of a troll?
-
Wow, people get really worked up over complete non-issues.
