Here is an idea. Use the glimmer to buy heavy synths...
holy crap!!! Problem solved with not a single line of coding changed
• You broke ass mother -blam!-er. Do you own more than one heavy synth? There's a 5 minute cool down when you use one synth on all your synths. This perk would be unreal. Waiting for heavy sucks

  • Actually my glimmer is usually always maxed, I have about 600 heavy synths, and I don't find the 5 minute timer that detrimental. Heavy is meant to use sparingly and to make last you for only when necessary. Is the game that hard for you people that you need an extra crybaby buff?

  • Ya but heavy saves time. Sure I could sit there and grid away adds one at a time or just mess em up real quick. And the guy said it doesn't have to be a common drop but a once in a while a little boost

If you know when / where adds spawn you don't need a full rocket launcher or heavy in general to clean them up quickly. Just sounds like a bad player wants the game to be made easier for him. Don't expect bungie to rewrite codes when you can just develope your skill and efficiency on a personal level. Sorry if you can't handle the truth of this matter. This piece of gear won't be changed as you desire.

  • Lol where did I say "I need it"? I'm just saying it would save time or be a nice little bonus here and there. You are quite the salty mother-blam!-er aren't you? Did mommy not hug you enough?

  • It doesn't change the fact that the Iron to Gold perk sucks and isn't even good enough to be used on a legendary. You have a chance, not even a guarantee, to get 5 glimmer for picking up a primary brick. Heavy synths cost 950 a piece and have a cool down associated with them. It doesn't even pay for one synth for an entire week. Glimmer is useless in the big picture of things and that chance is stupid. You can just use a glimmer increase consumable, or just utilize a ghost shell and gain more glimmer in one strike than you could in a whole month of using the Alchemist's Robes. As it currently stands "Iron to 'Gold' " is hands down the worst exotic perk on any armor piece or weapon. I buy lots of synths, but the conversion from primary to heavy would be epic and well worth the slot. And before you say "well use a different exotic", Stormcaller's have no great exotics; sure the impossible machines give you landfall but that perk a novelty at best. The only other exotic a stormcaller could benefit from is the Claws, but even that nerfs your entire super when using transcendence because it requires both melee charges to proc.
