Its ok IMO. Good that it has a raid, I like the updated leveling system and the marks system. However, IMO, it seems like bungie tried too hard to recapture the magic of the launch of destiny (you know, before we figured out that after 3 hours of gameplay, the game was essentially finished...) and they failed to do so. My current problems: 1. strike playlist is still repetitive (you get the same strike every other strike pretty much); 2. There are allegedly MORE year 2 weapons, but none of them seem that good to me IMO (this includes raid weapons and exotics). While I understand they wanted to provide a disincentive to people requiring specific weapons for endgame activities, IMO they have watered the weaponry down so much that it really doesn't matter what weapon you use. While this was likely the goal, the result is that you really don't feel powerful, even as you approach the light cap. IMO, they tried to make us happy with a large number of weapons, but IMO its better to have fewer, really GOOD weapons rather than a larger number of weapons that are mediocre at best. 3. We need reforge back. IDC about the crucibabies crying about "perfect roll" weapons. Lack of reforge is actually keeping me OUT of the crucible because I don't want to go into pvp combat without weapons that are better tailored to my fighting style. Now that I have to rely ONLY on the RNG system to try to get a weapon I feel comfortable with in PVP, it has actually hampered my ability to go into crucible. And NO, I actually don't want to reroll a year 2 party crasher with shot package. I would prefer to get a scout rifle/pulse rifle with send it, unflinching, and 3rd eye. And a heavy chain gun with rangefinder and range modifiers. 4. Court of Oryx was a fun idea, but nobody plays it. Rewards really don't match the difficulty considering you can only take two other people with you and you can't coordinate with randoms. Let us take 6 people into higher level patrol and this issue would be solved. 5. Past content is still totally irrelevant. Destiny gets smaller with each release due to content becoming obsolete. There are SO MANY AWESOME ways they could keep past content relevant, and it will take minimal work, but they won't do this. 6. Almost forgot - they ruined the nightfall by meddling with the previous nightfall format and adding in rewards that have no place in the nightfall (strange coins, three of coins, etc). I honestly would not be shocked if I received 12 motes of light for completing the nightfall... Just a few thoughts on things they need to fix.
