I was just cruising around the moon when I started hearing this weird low-pitch sound. I was at the area between Archer's line and Anchor of light, where there's literally no enemies. I heard that the low sound was an indicator of a piece of sleeper simulant being near, and that pocket infinity had something to do with it, so I took it out and basically started shooting at random places to see what happened. I hit a point on top of one of the rocks almost in the out of bounds area and pointed it straight at the broken satellite in the sky. Then something weird happened. Pocket infinity usually fires in rapid succession in its full auto mode, but this time it fired in slow, 1 second intervals. Then, after a certain point of me moving it around some more, it shot really slowly, then stopped at one anno left in the mag and didn't shoot again. It just stayed in place, looking ready to fire, but not doing anything. This is the exact way a radar works if you replace it from speeding up as you got close to treasure, to slowing down. I don't have one of the relics on me, so that was as far as I got, but please! Someone confirm this so I know its not a coincidence!
Edit: I'm uploading a video for proof. I'll have the link up shortly. You can even hear the low-pitched music if you have headphones on.
Edit 2: Here's the link- https://youtu.be/mPoGiODuTF8
Edit 3: So a lot of people are saying that the PI has a glitch where it shoots slowly if you shoot it at the sky in general. I tried it out, and turns out it did the same thing there as well. I don't know if that means anything, but I appreciate all the comments and advice you guys are giving.

If you aren't hitting anything with pocket infinity it will fire slower
-
Hey man, I decided to check this out. I found a couple things A.) the pocket infinity fires slowly only when aimed so the projectiles won't hit a solid object. As soon as contact is made, the super fast fire rate kicks in. B.) the pocket infinity wasn't this glitchy before. They definitely did something. I don't know what, but something. Lol

My pocket infinite used to glitch out like that in crucible lol
-
That glitch has been around since Vanilla after it's first nerf, sadly.
-
This happens whenever you fire it into the sky because the shots are not impacting anything.

Edited by MemoireStar: 10/3/2015 7:07:19 PMSince I am actually collecting helium filaments right now and tried it out aswell, I can defenitely confirm what OP is saying: the moment I point at that satelite i start shooting slower.. ( I do not notice any music though)

Very true. Used it during the solar ability kills (exotic sword quest) and if you have a Dvalic in inventory, and pick up another, the progress bar on it goes up, looks like a 1/4, but could be 1/3

I wonder if this is why Xur has legacy engrams for sale. That way people still have a chance to get old exotics that are needed for new exotics. Just a thought.
