What makes you think that starting a new Warlock will improve the light on your current one? Making a new lock for that purpose is just pure time wasting, ever since TTK released. Keep your titan to keep the variety, and play on your Warlock to grind for rare engrams and gear to use for infusion.

Transfer all my gear to my new warlock do the raid and hope to get a 310 bond, 310 boots, raid helmet, 310 special weapon, or 310 heavy weapon.

Just do that on your current lock. You won't increase your chances for a higher light level by doing the raid with a new guy.

He means he can get more drops on stuff that isn't 310 so it increases the chance of actually getting the 310 stuff he wants. But I would still keep the titan
