[b]One blob of shadow seems to linger on the ground, much longer than the others. Minerva lays out of the combat area with unknown injuries, and Murph is frantically pacing.[/b]

[b]Jack emerges from the lingering black flames and sees Python and murph running to a red haired girl.[/b] [i]"She wasn't an illusion?"[/i] [b]He thinks to himself as he runs over.[/b]

"Illusion? She said the Shade could produce them, but she had had ample time to tell me how to avoid it..." *Murph says* *Minerva starts stirring in the distance, trying to climb to her feet. Murph doesn't notice her.*

[b]With murph and phantom handling the r d hairs girl, Jack runs over to Minerva[/b]

*she manages to stand up, using a wall for balance* "What's got them so distracted? We beat it... Shouldn't we be, you know, tending to the... the wounded....?" *she is wavering back and forth a bit and looks like she may fall again*

"Another woman." [b]He says as a joke but he's serious, he takes her arm and puts it over him to help her balance[/b] "Apparently it's a woman named red, I don't know what's with her though. But she seems Important I guess."

"Hopefully she's different. If it's another borderline mute lady who likes to keep to herself then I'm done."

[b]He chuckles[/b] "Ain't that the truth."

[b]They get to the others and listen in on the conversation.[/b]

[b]He holds Minerva up, keeping her balanced[/b] [i]"Damn, this happened because of me. The beast took a hit at Minerva."[/i] [b]White flames flow in and out of his arms and he listens to the conversation.[/b]

"I think I can stand on my own now. Thanks." *she rubs her leg that has burns on it* "Thing was a real monster huh?"

"Yeah it was, kind of caught me off guard with all of those mind tricks." [b]He looks at her burns then the flames on him[/b] "I didn't do that to you did I?"

"No. The big shadow creature did. Don't blame yourself for what you couldn't control. It'll probably come off in the shower anyway."

"Alright, I hope so." [b]He notices the lingering white flames on his arm.[/b] "Lethal said white flames meant pure, but pure of what? I'm still a half demon." [b]He shakes his head.[/b] "This gets confusing sometimes."

"I'll not argue on that one."

"Need to do some studying on this. Maybe a demon can heal and not just cause destruction for once."

"With how wreckless this group is we could need more healing."

"Maybe I can heal, white does mean pure. Who know." [b]He shrugs and looks at the burn on her leg then at his hand which is a blaze with white flames.[/b]

"Do you want to try it?"

"It wouldn't hurt, yeah I'll give it a shot."

"Well?"

[b]He places a hand on her leg where she was burned. The white fire from his arms flow down to his hands and onto her leg, engulfing her leg in a bright white flame. The flames circle her leg as it heals her but it seems to taken some energy off of Jack. After a moment, her leg feels as good as new.[/b]

"Wow, nice job!"

[b]He's breathing heavily but silently.[/b] "Yeah.... Thanks." [b]He catches his breath.[/b] "To heal so one it seems as if it takes my life force away to help others."

"Oh. Don't overdo it okay?"

"I'll try, but if the team needs it then they'll get it." [b]He stands up and dusts himself off[/b]
