I always liked stuff like this. It fleshes the story out even if it's not official. I personally feel like I play a game better when I read books or lore about the game

I feel you. For me, half the fun of a game is figuring out the story behind it. That being said, I wish Bungie would come out with some Destiny books, or at least some sort readable material to supplement the story. It worked great for answering all the loose ends presented in Halo, so I don't see how it wouldn't work for destiny as well.

Bungie doesn't have to be the ones to come out with books, they just need to give the ok and some background

Good point. I'd prefer they have something to do with the writing process however, so that the books don't break cannon or present any more questions than they need to. I love licensed books/movies when they're done [i]right[/i], but when they're done [i]wrong[/i] it disappoints the reader/viewer and damages the franchise as a whole. I just hope that if any books [i]do[/i] happen, Bungie makes sure they get done [i]right[/i].
